A Gap Year company providing adventure travel and volunteering programs in Africa and Asia. Specialists in meaningful travel experiences for over 20 years. Africa & Asia Venture, also known as AV, is a not-for-profit social enterprise specialising in meaningful volunteering programs in Africa and Asia. Established in 1993, over 5,500 volunteers from 30+ countries have since contributed more than 1,200 man-years of service to the communities in which we operate. We offer a unique experience of group-based full-immersion programs in rural communities, where volunteers live with the locals the way the locals live and after which they have a period of independent travel time to go wherever they wish, all supported by our dedicated, 24/7, in-country management teams. We have a second-to-none reputation for excellent management and care, with in-country representatives and each of our experienced staff have personal, in-depth, country knowledge.
