OUR BRIEF:
Our client, a National Logistics PLC needed their existing fuel storage installation upgraded to comply with The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001. They also required no interruption to the refuelling of their vehicles or normal site operations.

D&S installed a fully compliant temporary tank complete with fuel delivery pump and transferred fuel from the existing tanks to the temporary tank thus keeping any losses to a minimum.

The existing tanks were then degassed, cleaned, and removed from site for safe disposal. The bund was demolished and a new concrete base formed, surrounded by linear drains and connected to an interceptor.

The new tank complete with pump and ancillary equipment could then be delivered and offloaded into position before finally being connected to a new power source specifically installed.

Once the new system had been tested, the fuel from the temporary tank was transferred into the new tank, the temporary tank removed, and the site cleared of D&S equipment.
