When I came to Acquiesce I was very nervous and isolated from many years of addiction, I was unsure of myself and socially nervous around others. The family feeling of Acquiesce and support from the staff, gave me hope that I could  change my behaviours and work toward a better future. The staff are experienced, supportive and most of all know what it is like to suffer from addiction. The safe environment and the group work really helped to rebuild my self-confidence.
Acquiesce provided me with a strong base to build my recovery, the tools I gained through their programme I have continued to use through the last 17 months. My life now is completely different to the years of addiction, by working what I was taught I have moved forward into a new chapter of my life.

I recently completed a 28 day programme with Acquiesce and if anyone is looking for residential rehab I would definitely recommend. The program is great and covers both 12 step along with SMART along with 1-2-1 sessions with a designated practitioner throughout your time there. You learn knowledge on how addiction works and affects the brain and body.
All staff members go above and beyond to help with all aspects of your recovery and stay and most have been on the side of addiction so give their experiences to aid with your journey.
The treatment continues once you leave and they assist with your transition back into life and are always on the end of the phone for help and advice or anything you may need with a genuine want to help you become the best version of yourself in active recovery.

There are many wonderful things I can say about this rehab centre. I'd be here all day! But please take my word for it, even if you think you're beyond help or you're wondering whether this is the right rehab for you, it is! From the moment I arrived I was treated amazingly. The team really care. And your well being and clean future is their main concern. Particularly Simon, Tina and Ellie stood out to me. They have quite simply changed my life.  I will forever be grateful to them and the rest of the team. I'm still in early recovery (day 44) as of writing this. No words can describe the value gained through this experience.

I commenced my journey with Acquiesce because my recreational substance use had quietly increased, and had become an issue. I was unable to govern my use, the consequences of which were uncomfortably amassing. I needed a way out.

Not only has my treatment shown me the way out of my predicament, it has afforded me a novel way to progress in life; one that empowers me to attain my goals, and to live a happily fulfilled existence. I have, and am continuing to, become someone that I am happy to be.

Don’t really know what to say to be honest as Acquiesce has completely changed my life and my family’s.

When I first got there I was broken and couldn’t see a way out of the mess I was in but thanks to the all the staff they have helped me, not only get rid of my terrifying drug addiction but they have helped me find out who I really am as a person.

I can’t thank my practitioner Simon enough as he is armed with the facts of recovery and no matter what issue or problem I was faced with he understood and would find a way to help me cope and deal with the problem.

On top of that I met friends for life in there as before I went into Acquiesce I didn’t have any and hated myself and what I had done to everyone who loved me and was only trying to support me in my recovery. If you’re like I was and life doesn’t seem worth living anymore then I urge you to pick up the phone as this place is amazing and they all know what they are doing. My 28 day in Acquiesce changed my life.  The staff are all amazing and the programme was incredible.  Having hit an all time low and never thinking I would overcome my addiction I entered Acquiesce scared and a shell of the person I had once been.
From the instant moment I walked through the door the anxiety lifted and I knew I was in a place where I would be understood and helped by the most  caring, genuine and sincere staff you could ever wish to meet.
I cannot speak highly enough of the programme which gave me such an insight into not only addiction but to me and why some of us suffer more with addiction than others.. it was incredible.
The 4 weeks flew by the accommodation was like home from home and the peers I shared with have become life long friends and have also played a massive part in helping me recover.  We are all now part of each others support network and I am under no doubt that its down to the set up of Acquiesce and the the staff and programme that creates the special bonds with peers.
I would urge anyone wanting to get better to look no further, it is a life changing experience that you will thoroughly enjoy, and set you on your best road for life long recovery.

I went to stay at acquiesce for a month and it was without doubt the best thing I ever did i am now nearly 6 weeks alcohol and feel absolutely fantastic I also met some brilliant people in there the treatment was very good and I got lots from it the time just flew by the accommodation was really comfortable for me and finally the staff I cannot single anyone out they were all outstanding individuals and there only concern was my wellbeing would I recommend acquiesce absolutely 100% thank you all for all your help and advice  take care x
