This year, National Children's Day UK fell on Sunday, 12th May. 💙 Inspired by this day, we are keen to encourage more children to read. That's why we partnered with a local independent bookstore to donate free books to a primary school in Camberwell. These are some books that the children chose for their collection. We believe in the power of a good book and the importance of fostering young readers. Happy National Children's Day! 🎈📖 #NCDUK2024

We're so excited to share that Rebecca Frayn's book 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘣𝘪𝘻𝘢 was launched in London on the 18th of April! Our team at Whitefox had the honor of accompanying Rebecca at this lovely event surrounded by her friends and family. Set on the much-mythologised island, 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘣𝘪𝘻𝘢 is a compelling novel about a twenty-one-year-old environmental activist and her long-estranged father, a wealthy property developer. This awkward family dynamic echoes through the book, which offers up a searing insight into the collision between the personal and the political. Congratulations to our authors Yvonne Corpuz, Julia Hobsbawm and Paul Gregg on the publication day of their wonderful books. 📚 Yvonne Corpuz, a global leader at a variety of international firms, invites us on a spiritual journey with her in 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘬𝘰𝘬𝘶. After a career setback, Yvonne found solace in a 1,400-kilometre pilgrimage across Japan's most mystical island, visiting eighty-eight temples in eight days. 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘬𝘰𝘬𝘶 is a stunning travelogue that intertwines pilgrimage, self-discovery and Japan’s rich culture, captivating the hearts of all seekers and travellers. Julia Hobsbawm, an award-winning writer who predicted the rise of hybrid working in her 2022 book, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦, is back with 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴. In this insightful exploration, Julia examines 'The Amazing Age' – a period marked by unprecedented technological and cultural shifts. Prefaced by Professor Lynda Gratton of London Business School, the book delves into the impact of Covid-19 and ChatGPT on six work-related areas: jobs, skills, workplace, culture, wellbeing and generational attitudes. It blends data with popular cultural references, featuring illustrations by humans and ChatGPT. Paul Gregg, the man behind the Apollo Leisure Group, shares his captivating journey in 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘴. From hosting renowned shows like 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 and 𝘓𝘦𝘴 𝘔𝘪𝘴é𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴 to working with stars like Dean Martin, Liza Minnelli and Queen, Paul's story is a testament to determination and passion. It's a candid, inspiring reflection on his extraordinary life – from a northern England council estate to the vibrant entertainment industry and his co-ownership of Everton F.C. #newbooks #newreleases #auhtors #publishing #publicationday

𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘣𝘪𝘻𝘢 by Rebecca Frayn is finally out! This gripping novel takes us on a journey with Alice, an environmental activist who discovers on her 21st birthday that the man who raised her is not her father after all. She is surprised to learn that her biological father, William, is a property developer based in Ibiza, where he is immersed in a huge deal that will further increase his wealth. 🏝 When Alice and William meet in Ibiza for the first time, they find themselves on an unexpected road trip across the island, unraveling secrets from the past and glimpses of the future. Told from the perspectives of four characters with contrasting world views, 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘣𝘪𝘻𝘢 provides a personal reflection on family dynamics. The narrative unfolds against the backdrop of an island paradise on the brink of an environmental disaster. Get your copy today here: https://lnkd.in/eMrMk8CX

Last week Paul Gregg, the man who brought The Lion King stage musical to London, hosted his book launch for 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘴 at Waterstones in Piccadilly and the Whitefox team thoroughly enjoyed it! 📚 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘴 provides insight into Paul's journey from his childhood growing up on a council estate in the north of England to the colourful world of live entertainment and a dramatic boardroom showdown whilst he was the co-owner of Everton FC. The book will be available from April 25.

We’re very excited to be working with the award-winning writer and futurist Julia Hobsbawm on her new book, which will be released globally on 25th April 2024. Julia Hobsbawm’s 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 is transforming how we view the post-Covid work world. The book explores the inevitable changes to the workplace in light of upheaval caused by Covid and generative AI (amongst others). Nevertheless, Hobsbawm is optimistic and ‘strenuously pro-work’, viewing this as a time for reinvention. 💡So, are you ready to rethink your working assumptions? 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 has been highlighted in the 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 as one of their Books of the Month.
