The name is Sewell, Geoff Sewell. And I don’t get out of bed for anything less than a Porsche 911 (992) Targa 4 GTS. If you could drive any supercar for a day, which one would it be? Thanks to mates at Auto Vivendi (a private members’ club which provides its members with ‘fractional use’ of a stunning collection of the world’s best supercars) I had the most EPIC day out pretending to be the owner of this beautiful machine. Every new member does a ‘Supercar Drive Day’ being instructed by a former or current police driving assessor. Neil was an absolute guru who taught me to drive like a F1 supremo – safely - and took me through London and out into country roads for a fun day of road craft. I was like a kid in a candy store with a massive grin on my face! The day passed in a happy blur, living the dream. Don’t you just love those days when you have to pinch yourself - you can’t believe it and you’re so flippin’ grateful! Carpe Diem! Thanks Craig Williams for this unforgettable experience and to Marcus Watson and Adoreum for the initial connection. Most of all, I pay tribute to an utter legend Richard L. Thomas, previously Managing Director of AV, who together with Craig built an incredible business, mixing their passions. Richard lived life to the full and embodied the mantra of ‘do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life’. He kept telling me for the past decade to get my a** over to AV and indulge in the joys of driving. RIP, my friend. Absolute tragedy, gone too soon.
