A Wood Idea, was created in 2011 in a small place called Blaydon in Tyne and Wear, home of the Blaydon races and now home to the best flooring and door outlet in the North East. As the name suggests we sell all things wood: wooden floors, doors and staircases. We also have a team of craftsmen providing a local fitting service second to none.

Too often our homes are built with the emphasis on cost rather than design. Doors, stairs and floors are there for function as opposed to aesthetics. With this in mind and our background in the timber merchant industry A Wood Idea was founded to supply the finest hardwood floors, doors and stairs.
